Stephanie French and her children are looking forward to Christmas and an exciting 2018, after moving into one of our new affordable homes in North Yorkshire.
In order to be closer to family they recently moved into a three-bedroom house in Colburn, near Catterick.
The move has also brought Stephanie closer to the University of Teesside, where she has started working towards a degree in forensic science.
Stephanie, 38, said: “We moved from Beverley to stay with my sister in Middleham, but she has children too, so we really needed somewhere for ourselves.
“I applied through Choice Based Lettings and when I discovered we were getting a brand new home, I was delighted.
“It’s great that we have moved in in time for Christmas and we are in the process of sorting our belongings and ordering new things, like carpets.
“Broadacres have been great, especially our housing officer Simon, who is very responsive.”
With Stephanie’s children, Madison and Brandon, settled at their schools, 2018 is looking very positive for the family.
Stephanie added: “I have always been interested in forensic science and I am really enjoying the course and so far it has gone really well.
“With my foundation year, and a further three years of my bachelors’ degree, it won’t be easy, but my goal is to become a forensic biologist or forensic anthropologist.
“Having a nice home and the stability that goes with that will certainly help.”
