The purpose of the Community Development Fund is to support local projects and initiatives that benefit Broadacres customers and the wider community that they live in.
Please use the form below to apply for a grant up to £500.
Applications are reviewed every 3 months by a panel of volunteer customers.
Before you apply, please check that you meet and can comply to the following.
- Broadacres must own housing in the parish/town of the project.
- Organisations applying for funding and/or benefiting from funding should either be;
- registered charities or
- operate on a not-for-profit
- or voluntary basis.
3. Projects should promote or deliver activities which directly benefit local communities with a commitment to equality, diversity and inclusion. It must support at least one of the following themes,
Community Projects: Set up or support of projects that promote personal or community development. Or make our communities a safer place to live
Environmental Projects: Projects and activities that are focussed on and improve the sustainability and environment of our communities
Health & Wellbeing Projects: Projects that tackle health and wellbeing issues, particularly those that benefit children.
Inclusion: Projects that address issues around digital, social, and financial inclusion.
- We cannot accept applications from organisations or groups whose mainstream funding is from Central Government departments. E.g., councils, schools
- Match funding will be accepted in the form of donated equipment, services, or volunteer hours towards the project.
- Any funding must only be spent on the items / activities described in the application form.
- Within 12 months of the funding being allocated.
- the project will be completed,
- our Grant Monitoring Form (with proof of expenditure) will be completed and returned to Broadacres Customer Insight Officer
- failure to return this will result in future applications from the group / project being declined,
- we will request the funding to be returned if funds are unspent within the timescale.
- Broadacres have the right to any positive publicity resulting from the funding.
- We are unable to hold over projects from year to year.
- An organisation or project can only apply to the fund once a year.
- Priority for awards is given to projects and organisations that have not applied before. Or those who have not received an award in the previous three years.
