Broadacres is a partner in Hambleton FoodShare, a charity provides emergency food parcels for people who are struggling to feed themselves and their families.
The aim of this scheme is to provide a three-day emergency food parcel to people in temporary financial crisis.
In the first six months of 2017 Hambleton FoodShare issued 608 parcels, with the main recipients being single adults aged 26-35.
During December and over the Christmas period we issued approximately 120 parcels.
Hambleton FoodShare also gave a Christmas ‘gift’ to customers which were donated by local businesses taking part in the ‘reverse advent calendar’.
Hambleton Foodshare will be open again on Monday 1st January 2018. Please spare a thought for people who may be relying on a food parcel to get them through Christmas and donate what you can in 2018.
